Great lopper!!! We use it for building trails. Which entails cutting roots, branches and limbs. This tool gets abused to the extreme. We have broken one spring and last week broke the blade (after 3 miles of use). The great thing is I can get replacement parts. With standard heavy loppers we would have broken one or two, which you can’t get parts for. The extendable handles saves your back on roots and allows for extended reach to clear trail corridor. Great tool that will give you years of use…if you don’t abuse it like we do!!!

My wife and I use our G2 Kit on horse trails and pasture management. I G2 ratcheting mechanism and after getting replacement parts it still had a piece that was damaged and wouldn’t work. No problem getting a brand new g2 pruner. Tony at Customer service worked with me to fix the unit, but when it was still too damaged he authorized replacement very quickly and we are back to work. This company does stand behind their products and every tool in our G2 kit is worth every dollar spent. I’m that special kind of guy that can break anything so warranties are essential to me.

The G2 ratchetting loppers are incredibly powerful, exactly as advertised. And very little force is required to cut a 3 inch stem. They are extremely handy for cutting out a trail, spacing around Christmas trees or any type of pruning. The main drawbacks are that they can be slow to operate and do not open very wide, unless you click the clever lever. The lever to make the jaw open wider, faster works great, but you have to use it every time, which can get tedious at times. Finally, because they are so powerful with very little force, it is possible to break the blade which I did, after a fair bit of use. They readily provided a replacement blade, which is great; but unfortunately I had to pay extra import and shipping fees since I live in Canada. But overall, this is an impressive tool.
